Terms of Service

Last updated August 18, 2026

These are the terms for ordering custom meat and processing from Havenwood Meats LLC (“Havenwood,” “we”), a state-inspected processor in New Germany, Minnesota. We serve Clients (farmers/producers) and Customers (individuals buying meat). You must be 18 or older, and we sell and deliver only in Minnesota. Using the website is also covered by our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

Ordering & payment

When you order a share of an animal, you pay a 50% processing deposit now, and we save your card on file. The deposit is an estimate based on a typical hanging weight for that animal.

After the animal is harvested and weighed, we settle the order to the real hanging weight: the rest of the processing plus the animal cost owed to the farm. Because it’s based on the actual weight, the final total can come out a little higher or lower than the estimate — we charge the balance to your saved card, or refund the difference if it’s lower. No cash needed at pickup.

Cutting instructions

Please make sure your cutting instructions are right — we cut from what’s on file on harvest day, and changes after cutting begins may not be possible.

Cancellations & no-shows

You can cancel up until 48 hours before the harvest date. Within 48 hours we can’t cancel, and the deposit is kept, since the animal and schedule are committed. For deliveries, if we can’t reach you on delivery day, a $100 no-show fee plus a redelivery charge may apply.

Pickup, delivery & freezer storage

You can pick up in New Germany, MN, or have it delivered where we offer it (the delivery fee depends on distance and we confirm it with you). Please pick up promptly once we mark your order ready — a freezer storage fee may apply for product left past the grace period.

Handling your meat

Meat is perishable. Once it leaves our facility, please refrigerate, freeze, store, and cook it properly — we can’t be responsible for spoilage or illness from handling after pickup or delivery.

For farmers

If you sell through our farmer portal, you set the price customers pay for your animal — we collect it and pay you your share. You’re responsible for how your animals are raised, and for state-inspected animals you’ll sign a short Letter of Guarantee confirming no drug residue before we can process. Booking requests aren’t confirmed until we approve them.

The basics

Payments are handled by our payment processor. We provide our services with care, but to the extent the law allows we’re not responsible for indirect or unexpected losses. These terms are governed by Minnesota law. We may update them; the date above shows the current version. Questions? Call (952) 353-2228 or use our Contact page.
